Pin and mute a conversation
Two quick controls keep a room in order: pin the messages that matter, and mute the ones that don’t need to interrupt you.
Pin a message
Section titled “Pin a message”- Hover the message and choose Pin (or use the command palette — Pin the last message).
- Pinned messages stay at the top of the room. Unpin to remove one.
Mute a conversation
Section titled “Mute a conversation”Open the conversation’s menu (or use the command palette) and choose:
- Mute — no notifications from the chat.
- Mute sound — notifications still arrive, but silently.
- Mute calls — don’t ring for calls.
Each has an inverse (Unmute, Unmute sound, Unmute calls).
Reach them from the keyboard
Section titled “Reach them from the keyboard”The command palette (⌘/Ctrl + K) has Pin the last message, Star the last message, Mute, Mute sound and Unmute — handy without the mouse. → Commands
